Things You Can Do To Improve Hair Growth

There is no magic solution to grow your hair faster than nature intended it to grow.  On a formal human being, hair grows an average of 6 inches a year.  However, there are some things that you can do to stimulate your hair growth and keep baldness in check.




1)  Supplement your diet with lots of raw fruits and vegetables, particularly green and yellow vegetables rich in beta-carotene, vitamin A and B Vitamins which are active agents essential to hair growth.  Eating a diet rich in these nutrients will keep your hair healthy and boost hair growth.

2)  Hair is essentially proteins and adding healthy proteins into your diet will
not only improve hair growth but also strengthen your hair.  Great food sources for protein include brewer's yeast, fish, beans, yogurt, soy and eggs.

3)  Remove or reduce any factors in your life that may inhibit the healthy growth of your hair.  Factors that are known to stunt hair growth include constant stress and certain medication.  Consuming caffeine, sugar and excess fat is also known to inhibit hair growth.

4)  Stimulate the blood flow to your hair follicles by massaging your scalp for a few minutes each day. 

5)  Two essential aromatherapy oils known to stimulate hair growth are ylang ylang and lavender.  These oils can be added to your shampoo to improve hair growth.  As a general guide, add only one drop of each oil to 2 oz of shampoo.  You may even buy shampoos that have these oils as an active ingredient.

6)  Jojoba oil has been used for centuries by Native American Indians to not only treat skin ailments but also promote healthy hair because in essence it resembles the hair's natural oil.  All you need to do is moisturize your scalp with a few teaspoons of the oil.
